Experience

I am a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Therapist with experience working with people across the lifespan. Before completing my doctoral training, I worked for five years in psychological therapy roles providing individual and group interventions across a range of settings including inpatient services, forensic services, and CAMHS. During my training, I gained further experience in adult community mental health teams, learning disability services, and older adult community teams, alongside completing a year-long placement in a specialist paediatric service.I am trained in, and enjoy working with, a wide range of presenting difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, low mood, obsessive compulsive disorder, psychosis, low self-esteem, stress, school-related difficulties, achievement and performance issues, fears and phobias, grief and loss, chronic health conditions, and difficulties with anger. I currently work within an NHS specialist adult service, supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. I enjoy working flexibly with people of all ages and adapt my approach to meet each individual’s needs. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of psychological models and evidence-based techniques, including EMDR, to tailor our work together in a way that feels most helpful and meaningful for you. I have had the privilege of working with neurodivergent individuals, as well as with LGBTQ+ clients, including non-binary and trans young people, and I am committed to offering an inclusive, affirming, and compassionate therapeutic space.

Other Interests

Alongside my professional work, I value connection and creativity. I love spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and I am a big animal lover. I’m also a non-committal lover of the arts, often dabbling in different crafts and creative trends and I’m currently loving beaded embroidery although I am definitely a beginner!

Where I work

I currently work full time in the NHS and can offer sessions through the Embrace Psychology practice either online through the doxy.me platform or in person at Embrace Psychology's lovely clinic.  It has its own separate entrance and includes a small waiting area, office and bathroom.  There is plenty of on street parking outside

Membership/Registration

I am a member of the EMDR Association UK.
